Curtis Adams was the youngest of six children born to the late John Nathan (J.N.) Adams and Viola Virgil Adams.
He graduated from Center High School, attended S.C. State, recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1953 and awarded his Dental degree from Howard University in 1962.
In 1954, Curtis was inducted in the U.S.Army.He served in the medical division in Nuremburg, Germany for two years and it was during this time his interest in the dental profession evolved.
While attending graduate school at Howard University in 1956 and before entering Dental School in 1958, he met and married his wife and from this union two children were born. Dr.Adams held many positions during his career:

1963-1968: Staff Dentist,Rosewood State Hospital
1963-1986:Staff Dentist,Provident Hospital
1968-:Staff Dentist,Provident Neighborhood Health Center
1985:Consulting Dentist, for Crawford Retreat Neighborhood Nursing
1985-1991:Consulting Dentist, Northwest Nursing Home
1986-1991 Staff Dentist, Liberty Medical Center
1993-2006:Clincal Staff Administrator, Washington Village Medical Center
