Elsie Ellen Conley, daughter Francis Conley and Caroline Gerl, was born 28 April 1881 in Wauwatosa, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Elsie was baptized at St. Gall Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin on 20 May 1882. Elsie's baptismal sponsors were Ellen Doherty and Francis Doherty. Ellen was a paternal aunt and Francis Doherty was a cousin of Francis Conley. The family surname was also spelled "Connelly" on various sources.

On 22 February 1910, Elsie (age 27) married Hubert George Beck (age 26), son of Michael Beck and Helen Fischer, in Milwaukee. The couple had no children. (Wisconsin Marriages, 1836-1930)

Shortly after their marriage, Hubert and Elsie moved to Tucson, Pima County, Arizona where Hubert was a bookkeeper for Tucson Citizen Bank. By 1920, Hubert and Elise moved to Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Hubert was an accountant for Armour Grain Company until it sold out to the Pratt Foods Company in 1923. Hubert continued as an accountant for Pratt Foods Company. By 1926, he transferred to Buffalo, Erie County, New York.

On 16 November 1930 Elsie (age 49) died in Buffalo. (New York, State Death Index, 1880-1956) She is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo.
