Thelma L. Roper, 77, of Peeples Valley Road died Wednesday, Nov 13.

Ms. Roper was born on September 2, 1914 in Paulding County. She was the daughter of Homer H. Brown and Estelle Little Brown. She retired from Cartersville Undergarment and was a member of Emerson Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, James C. Roper, Jr., of Cartersville; Elizabeth Matthews, daughter, Rome; William E. Cantrell, son, Sheridan Arkansas; Eli Cantrell, son, Cartersville; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, Ruby Williams, sister and Bonita Tidwell, sister both of Cartersville; Bill Brown, brother, Cartersville and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was proceded in death by her first husband, Mose E. Cantrell and a daughter, Edith Cantrell.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 16 at 1 p.m. from Emerson Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Clark officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Owen Funeral Home on Collins Drive is in charge of the arrangements.
