J. Paul Allison
J. Paul Allison, 86, of Beloit, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Salem Regional Medical Center. Paul was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Alliance, the son of Dan and Ruby (Brogan) Allison. Paul served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the George D. Worth VFW. He enjoyed bowling and golfing as a member of the Westville Wednesday/Thursday Night Golf League, playing West Branch basketball and, most of all, spending time with his family. Survivors include his children, Gary (Kelly) Allison and Karen Butler; three grandchildren, Courtney Butler, Brant Allison and Lane Allison; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glennie Allison, whom he married on July 3, 1954; and three brothers, Don Allison, Dale Allison and Kenneth Allison. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015, at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home, with Pastor Rod Doran officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
