RESIDENT OF OTTUMWA 85 YEARS DIES
Mrs. Carrie Schmider, 85, died at her home 2002 Mabel street, today at 5 a.m.
She was the daughter of Nicholas and Josephine Wachtler and was born in Ottumwa May 14, 1854. She had lived here her lifetime.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Helen Sperry and Mrs. Mabel Prentice of Kansas City and Miss Margaret and Miss Lenora Schmider, Mrs. Blanche Gilman and Miss Louise Schmider of Ottumwa sister, Mrs. Anna Rockwell of Colorado; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, a daughter and three sons.

Services for Mrs. Carrie Schmider, who died at her home, 2002 Mabel street, Thursday, will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Johnson's funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Lawrence A. Stumme, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery.
