VERONA - Mrs. Nellie Edel Agne Dodge, 81, of the Martin Luther Home, Clinton, died today, June 10, 1988, in Oneida City Hospital after a brief illness. She previously resided at RD 1 Verona.
Mrs. Dodge formerly taught school in Jewel.
She was born Jan 9, 1907 in Stacy Basin, daughter of George and Nellie Drummond Edel. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and Oswego Normal School.
On Aug 5, 1931, she married Arthur H. Agne, who died July 2, 1962. She married Winifield Dodge on June 24, 1972 and he died Sept. 21, 1979.
Mrs. Dodge was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Churchville; the Verona Daylight Friendship Club, and the Vernon Senior Citizens.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Warner and Miss Lois Jean Agne, Baldwinsville; a brother, Howard Edel, Rome, and three grandchildren.
Services will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with burial in the church cemetery. Calling hours are at the Prince, Boyd & Hyatt Funeral Home
