A U. S. Army Veteran of World War II, he retired from the United States Air Force after over twenty-three years of military service. In 1950, he received his bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Kentucky, and his masters degree in business administration from Ohio State University in 1967. Following his retirement from the military, he was a self-employed entrepreneur and was the owner of the Command Performance franchises in the Birmingham area. He was a member of the River Chase Baptist Church in Hoover, Alabama.
His survivors include his son, Charles W. Graham and his wife, Cathy, of Kingwood, Texas; his grandsons, Thomas S. Graham of Denver, Colorado, and Michael A. Graham of Dallas, Texas; his brother, Thomas Graham of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and his sister, Josephine Hall of Bardstown.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P. M., Friday, the 24th day of January, 2014, at the Bloomfield Christian Church with Reverend Jeff Greer officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:30 A.M. until 12:45 P.M., Friday, at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the River Chase Baptist Church, 2020 Crossvine Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35244.
