The attached 1930 Fennimore Times article says "two infant sons" of the first Mrs. Drone and "a child of the second Mrs. Drone" are buried here. It is possible that is a reference to child Fanny Drone who is indeed buried here according to the website "Andrew Washington Drone, Sr. Family Central." However that site indicates Fanny is the daughter of Andrew and Angeline.

According to the same, Andrew and Angeline Drone were the parents of 9 children:
Katherine Drone born 6 Sep 1862.
Thomas Jefferson Drone, 1st born 21 Nov 1865.
John Justice Drone born 23 Apr 1866.
Jacob Friedrick Drone born 1 Aug 1869.
William Otto Drone born 26 Aug 1873.
Edward Darwin Drone born 25 Jun 1871.
Fredrick Drone born 13 May 1875.
Andrew Washington Drone, II born 3 Sep 1878.
Fanny Drone
It seems Jacob Frederick, Fredrick, and Fanny died as infants/children. Perhaps all buried at Hickory Flat.
Website info seems to be incorrect as to birthdate of John Justice Drone, born April 23, 1866. It would be difficult for Thomas Jefferson to be born November 21, 1865 and then John Justice five months later. Find A Grave indicates the birthdate as April 21, 1867 and church records say April 23, 1867.

Article by H.E. Roethe in Fennimore Times dated Dec. 31, 1930 indicates "several Wachtel children and a number of children of Frank Marks" are buried in this cemetery. In addition, Angeline Drone, wife of A.W. Drone is buried here "also two infant sons of hers and a child of the second Mrs. Drone."
"The building (Hickory Flat School) was intended for use for a schoolhouse and church combined, and in the early days the dead were buried in the church yard. That accounts for the graves in the yard of the Hickory Flat schoolhouse in such close proximity to the school building. Sixty five years ago (ca.1865)Rev. Benjamin Winters, a United Brethren minister bought land here and gave an acre to the district for a schoolhouse and a church...Rev. Edward Wachtel, a Lutheran pastor, who preached at Muscoda and a number of outlying charges, held services in it for seven or eight years, and it is his children who are buried here."
*******************************************
Pastor Wachtel served a congregation of people at Hickory Flat who eventually formed St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Muscoda in 1870, and from that congregation Christ Lutheran Church, Pine Knob (rural Highland)was formed in 1895.
From Church Membership records, Evangeline (nee Clark) Drone was born November 16, 1847 at Steuben County, New York. She was married to Andreas Washington Drone who was born March 11, 1832 in Lehi or Barks (sic, Berks) County Pennsylvania. Surely this is "Angeline Drone, wife of A.W. Drone" mentioned in the Fennimore Times article.
