A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late William Grady Coward and Nola Suttles Coward and was the wife of 63 years of the late Israel McDaniel “Dan” Fisher who went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Justice and Wanda Ferguson and her brother, Charles Coward.
Mrs. Fisher was retired from Dayco and was a member of Nineveh Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Fisher Monteith and husband John of Brevard; grandson, Wes Monteith of Asheville; brother, Dean Coward and wife Darlene of Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Patti Willett of Hot Springs and Brenda Briggs of Mars Hill.
The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Thursday, April 30, 2015 in the Wells Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesville with Rev. Michael Leslie officiating. Burial will be in Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 PM Thursday at Wells Funeral Home.
