She was born Elizabeth Hoellerer 18 Mar 1896 in Maries County Missouri near Koeltzrown to Franz "Frank" and Ursula Catherine "Katie" Evers Hoeller (also spelled Hoellerer-immigration records for Franz was Bavaria). Elizabeth or "Lizzie" was one of 8 kids. Mary Catherine, Henry Francis, Catherine "Katie" Mary, Johann Bernard died young, Joseph John, John George, Elizabeth and Kunegunde "Kunie".
She married Stephen Joseph Mertens (from Linn, MO) in Koeltztown, MO February 9, 1915. They moved to iowa and were the parents of Sylvia, Jerome, Violetta "Vi", Dorothy, Imogene Kunegunde, & Richard John. Steve and Lizzie divorced. He came back to Missouri after 1940
She then married Vivian Dwight Coon 1934 in IA and had daughters Vivian and Amy Lou. They moved to Washington before Amy was born. At some point Lizzie and most of the kids moved to Montana. She worked at, owned, or managed several restaurants in various towns/states in her life . Her 2nd husband, Vivian Dwight Coon, remarried sometime around 1960. Lizzie also married a Hart, an unknown name of husband 4. Her 5th and last marriage was to a Vollrath. Local relatives knew she had married 5 times.
She died in the town Vivian lived in, but was buried in Montana.
