Daughter of Mr Vivian Dwight Coon and wife Elizabeth (Hoeller)Mertens Coon. Amy grew up in Cut Bank MT, and was married to Robert Pearson in 1956. They divorced and then November 11, 1993 married Adam Clayton. At the time of her death she was survived by her husband Adam, her daughter Amy (& Ray) Montelius and their 4 grandchildren. Two sisters Vivian Coon Sandell and Vi Mertens Jenkins.

Siblings who preceded her in death were Sylvia Mertens Marshall (w/o Donald), Jerome Mertens, Dorothy Mertens Burchard, Imogene "Jean" Mertens Stinger.

Assuming she was cremated since her celebration of life was held July 27 2013. Unknown burial
