It is highly unlikely that Joseph H Combs and Carrie Nelson Combs are Ida's parents. Joseph H was probably born in VA; Ida's parents were both born KY according to census records. Ida's mother is listed as Carrie Combs on her death record, not Carrie Nelson. Ida is not listed as a survivor in Joseph's obituary. Ida's parents are listed as Henry Combs and Carrie Combs in various records. I have never seen him referred to as Joseph.
