Wiley "Bill" D. Adams
(August 12, 1944 - April 21, 2015)

Rev. Wiley “Bill” D. Adams, 70, of Brookland entered into eternal life Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Bill was born to the late Luney and Emma Adams on August 12, 1944 in Dixie. He lived most of his life in this area and was of the Pentecostal belief.

Bill accepted the Lord into his life 37 years ago. He welcomed his calling from God to become a Pastor and Evangelist for several years. Bill enjoyed singing the gospel with his wife, Iva Adams. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were all his life and pride. Bill showed the love of God on his face every day and taught his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to love and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by one son, Micheal Adams; and 3 great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Iva Adams of the home; 3 sons, Andy Adams (Misty), Rickey Sharp (Wendy), Keith Sharp (Lyndsey); 5 daughters, Sandy Gilbert (Deven), Rachel Gardner (Vernon), Sharlet Heath (Jim), Iva Kaja (Tim), Lisa Farmer; 2 brothers Gene and Virgal; 2 sisters, Ailene and Janet; 29 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randy Page and Rev. Ricky Hathcoat officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service. For lasting memorials, the family asks to please consider the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
