Taylor, Thomas Leroy, 84, died Friday, May 26, 2000. Visitation 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dunsford Funeral Home; service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Augusta to Thomas W. and Una May Patterson Taylor.
He married Gladys Lucille Frans on Dec. 24, 1936 at El Dorado. He retired from Mobil Oil Augusta Refinery. He worked for Mobil from 1937 until his retirement in 1979. At the time of his retirement he was a scheduler and planner.
Mr. Taylor was a lifetime resident of Augusta and a member of Augusta First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, George and sisters, Lorene Powers, Juanita Malan, Sarah Taylor and Norma Jean Taylor.
Survivors: wife, Gladys; children and spouses, Stanley and Cleota Taylor, Janis (Taylor) and Dale Swafford, Ruth (Taylor) and Norman Watson all of Augusta, Richard and Linda Taylor of Derby; grandchildren, Alesia Taylor, Cindi Taylor and Teresa Linot of Augusta, Michelle Morris of Oxford, Angela and Paul Taylor of Derby; great-grandchildren, Michaela, Kelsi, and Kai Gallardo of Augusta, Mathew Marcotte of Augusta, Sarena Seal and Kyle Morris of Oxford, Laiken, Logan and Lenexa Linot of Augusta; sisters, Rosalie Powers, Ella Bell Miller of Augusta, Helen Auerheimer of Newton.
