Thomas "Mike" Alford, 66, of Perrysburg, OH, born in Toledo, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2015. He was born July 17, 1948, to Paul and Mayrose (Gschwind) Alford. Mike was a Vietnam Veteran who enjoyed spending time at VFW Post 2510. He was a handyman who loved to fish, read, take care of his aquariums and spend time with his family.Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Doll and Marie (Reet); brothers, Joseph and Lawrence and special friend, Patty Hagerman. Surviving are his children, Connie (Ross) and Tom; brothers, Darrus (Linda) and Charles (Gwen); sisters, Nancy Speelman and Cindy (Jim) Cole; sister-in-law, Mary; granddaughters, Bailey and Chloe Dipman, and too many loving nieces and nephews to name individually; along with many friends including Kit, Charlene, Dave and Gary.A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at 6 p.m. at State Line Community Church, 6202 N. Detroit Ave., Toledo, OH 43612, officiated by Pastor Garry Hulisz. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
