She was born December 4, 1924 in Ogden to James Francis Chamberlin and Sarah Irene Simons.
She married her eternal companion, Bob Perschon, on August 21, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they raised seven children and a Native American son. Her family was her greatest love and source of devotion.
Muriel completed nurses training and worked at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was an expert seamstress, quilter, and candy maker. Her homemade baked goods were legendary. She worked at Bingham High School, retiring at the age of eighty.
She also served in the Jordan River Temple Sealing Office for twenty years. She touched many lives through her devoted church service, including a mission to Florida with her sweetheart.
She was preceded in death by Arthur Robert Perschon, her husband of sixty-one years; parents, James Francis Chamberlin and Sarah Irene Simons; sister, Irene Parker; and three grandsons, Robert and Jeff Verhaaren and Michael Harline. She is survived by her children, Laurel Verhaaren (Richard), Brent Perschon (Rinda), Ann Van Dyke (Randy), Jean Perschon (LaVar Harline), Kay Tuttle (Tom), Barbara Loosli (Joel), Sharon Spencer (Terry), and Stanley Singer; thirty-four grandchildren, and forty-four great-grandchildren.
