Walter H. Bennett, 59, died at his home.
The son of George and Mary Bennett, he was born March 27, 1892 in Wapello county. He had been a resident of Ottumwa all his life. A veteran of World War I, he attended the Christian church.
Walter was survived by one brother and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Bennett, Sam Bennett, Floyd Bennett, Roy Davis, Alec Davin, and James Jordan.
Members of the Walter B. Schaffer post No. 775, V.F.W., will server as an honor guard.
