A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2006, in Bateman Carroll Funeral Home for Lula H. Heimbuch-Wheeler, who died June 2 at age 87.

Lula High was born March 19, 1919, on a farm in Emmonds County, N.D., and raised in Pollock, S.D. She and her husband had a farm in Glenham, S.D., and owned a restaurant in Herreid, S.D. before moving in the mid 1970s to Portland, where she was a homemaker. In 1928, she married Carl A. Heimbuch; he died in 1973. She married Cecil Wheeler in about 1976; he died in 1995.

Survivors include her sons...; daughter...; sister, Lillie High; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mobridge - Lula Heimbuch-Wheeler, 87, of Portland and formerly of Mobridge, died Friday, June 2, 2006, at her home in Portland. Arrangements are pending with Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge.
