--Willis married #2 Margaret McKinley on May 21, 1844. This marriage produced 3 children: William Franklin, John R., and Margaret "Maggie" Elkins.
--He married #3 Susannah Houston in 1853. From this marriage was born daughter Elizabeth "Bettie" Elkins.
