Richard Dorn Owen, born March 21, 1928, passed away peacefully at home Monday, April 13, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Betty J (Arnold) Owen, children Edd (Becky) Owen, Richard (Sandy) Owen, and Melanie (Steve) Champion, grandchildren Suzy (Reecy) Dancer, Cheri (Chip) Ridge, Genny Owen, Tracey (Josh) Hesselgrave, Jeremy (Nicole) Owen, Michael (Ramona) Jarvis, Jacob (Stacey) Champion, Joshua Champion, Lauren Champion, and Miranda Champion, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Amond and Freda (Riggle) Owen, sister Joann (Owen) Wallrath (Robert) and granddaughter Clarissa Owen. He was baptized at Stilesville Christian Church. He was an avid gardener, loved woodworking, and a lifelong member of Masonic Lodge #131, F.&A.M. Stilesville, IN. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 16, 1:00 pm at Stilesville, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the American Heart Association.
