Jewel A. Parker, 92, of Patriot, went to be with Lord on Monday, April 13, 2015 at
OSU Wexner Medical Center, Zusman Hospice, Columbus, Ohio.

She was born November 17, 1922 in Elliott County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Thomas James and Minnie Whitt Stephens. She married the Reverend Charles F. Parker Jr., who preceded her in death on March 31, 2007. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn “Patty” (George) Miller of Monterey, Tennessee; three grandsons, Vincent (Tarina) Miller of Cookville, Tennessee, Stephen Miller and Charles “Charlie T.” Miller, both of Monterey, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Melissa (Shawn) Miller Jackson, of Monterey, Tennessee; 17 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; a nephew, who was raised in the home, Larry (Janet) Stephens of Vinton and his sons, Richard and Michael; two sisters, Betty Jaqua of Piqua, Ohio and Nannie Fuller of Columbus, Ohio; many nieces and nephews who have been a comfort to her and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Monie Fraley, Emma Davis, Gladys Andre and three brothers, James Stephens, Clarence Stephens, and Clyde Stephens.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Willis Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Flag Springs Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service.
