Nelma (Angel) Gutwald, 77, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 19, 2009 after several months of illnesses. Nelma was born on September 11, 1931 in Baileyboro, Texas. She grew up in rural Texas where she graduated from Bula High School in 1948.
She was a longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nev.
Nelma enjoyed participating in activities with the Red Hat Society, the Las Vegas Towne Club, and was very active in her church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnie; mother, Olive; two sisters; a brother; and husband, Dennis.
Nelma is survived by her sister, Sandra Austin; children, Deborah, April, Dennis, Angela, and Karen; grandchildren, Rachel, Mattie, Atom, Benjamin, Ellen, Francesca, Luke, Sam, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Jack and Aurora; and many other loving family members and friends.
