Died -- On Wednesday, Jan. 29, Mrs. Eliza Skirvin, at her home in Gilmer.
Mrs. Skirvin was born near Louisville, Kentucky, in 1818; came to this county about 1830; and ever since, has lived in Adams county. The cause of her death was that dreaded disease, consumption.
The funeral ceremony was conducted by Reverend McKown, in the Christian church at Columbus. After services, the remains were laid away in the cemetery at Columbus.
