FRIENDSHIP ----- Thomas J. Day, 81, town of Springville, Adams County, died Tuesday evening at the Adams County Memorial Hospital following a stroke.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Roseberry Funeral Home, the Rev. J. W. Davies, Wisconsin Dells, officiating. Burial will be in East Easton Cemetery.

Mr. Day was born in Crawford County, Dec. 3, 1880, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Day. He came to Adams County with his parents in 1885 and had been a resident of that area since that time. In 1904 he married Mabel Elderkin, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Earl and Orville of Grand Marsh; three daughters, Mrs. Viola Elliott, Edgerton; Mrs. Evelyn Kulndt, Wisconsin Dells, and Mrs. Alma Witt, Rudolph; two brothers, Dan Day, Grand Marsh, and Frank Day, Montana; one sister, Mrs. Norma Tangney, Wisconsin Dells; 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Two sons preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the Roseberry Funeral Home in Friendship from Friday until time of services.

Thomas J. Day, 81, a resident of the town of Easton, Adams county, for 70 years, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, at the Friendship hospital.

Mr. Day was born Dec. 3, 1880, in Crawford county and moved with his parents to the town of Easton in 1886. He had made his home the last five years with his sons, Earl and Orville, in the town of Springville.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mabel Elderkin, to whom he was married Dec. 7, 1904; two sons, Earl and Orville, three daughters, Viola, Mrs. Avery Elliott, Edgerton, Evelyn, Mrs. Rudy Klundt, Wisconsin Dells, and Elma, Mrs. Carlton Witt, Rudolph; two brothers, Dan of Grand Marsh and Frank of Fortine, Mont.; one sister, Mrs. Norma Tangney, Jordan Lake, 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Roseberry funeral home, Friendship, with the Rev. J. w. Davies, pastor of the Wisconsin Dells Presbyterian church, in charge. Burial was in the Easton cemetery.
