At her home a mile and a half northeast of Eldridge in this county last Tuesday night at 11:50 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs Dorthea Schnoor in the 56th year of her life.
The deceased was born in Germany in Schleswig-Holstein and came to this country nineteen years ago,coming directly to this state where she has made her home ever since. Her husband died several years ago. She is survived by eight children, Edward, Henry, August, John, Amelia, Emma, Cecelia and Alvina. Three sisters, Mrs Krabbenhoeft, Mrs Loft and Mrs Whitty and two brothers, Fred and Henry Haak all of this city also survive.
The funeral will be held from the residence of her daughter, Mrs Cecelia ? , 124(?) Wall Street, with interment in the West Davenport Cemetery.
