Charles E. Pfaff, 80, a retired Bloomington Route 7 farmer, died at 3 p.m. Monday at the home of a son, Delmar Pfaff, on Route 7. He suffered a stroke three years ago and had been an invalid since that time.

Mr. Pfaff was born in Hamilton County, near Noblesville, but had lived in this county for 35 years. He was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Noblesville.

His wife, Cynthia, died in 1929. He is survived by 10 children including five sons, William Ffaff, Ellettsville; Delmar and Floyd Pfaff, both of Route 7; Noble Pfaff, Noblesville, and Francis Pfaff, address unknown; five daughters, Mrs. Edna Harper and Mrs. Lela Clay, both of Indianapolis; Mrs. Velba Clay, Bloomington; Mrs. Donna Sheppard, Hammond, and Mrs. Anna Chaudion, Noblesville.

Other survivors include a brother, Otis Pfaff, Noblesville; 60 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The body will be taken from the Bratton Funeral Home, Ellettsville, to the home of the son, Delmar, to lie in state from 5 p.m. today to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the West 11th Street Pentecostal Church here with the Rev. Orville Frame officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Winifred Moffit, Vern Hanna, Estil Fiscus, Carl Crum, Guy Thomas and Raymond Freeman.
