Geraldine Washam, age 80 of Kearney, formerly of Brookfield, died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at her home. Geraldine was born in Marceline, Missouri on July 14, 1934 to Alva Lee and Inez Elizabeth (Linebaugh) Still. Geraldine was a caregiver for people in their homes and a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Marceline. She is survived by three sons, Donald Washam, Jerry Washam and Emma, all of Kearney, and Danny Washam and Paula, Moberly, and three sisters, Elizabeth Ann Edwards, Kearney; Leila Cohoon, Lake Lotawana; and Juline Hern, Independence, twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Rodney Washam. Graveside services will be held at 2PM Monday, April 13, 2015 at Peden Chapel Cemetery southeast of Marceline. Visitation will be held from 1PM Monday until time of services at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline.
