Pearl Elizabeth Hays, 66, of Mokane, died March 18, 1986, at the Callaway Memorial Hospital. She was born in Readsville on December 5, 1920, the daughter of Clarence D. and Nora Elizabeth Carver Blackburn. She was married on April 1, 1939, to Lyndell Hays who survives at the home.
Other survivors include her parents, Clarence and Nora Blackburn of Fulton, three sons, James C. Hays of Fulton, Merlyn Hays of Fulton and Kenneth B. Hays of Mexico, one daughter, Norma Shaon of Fulton, two sisters, Betty Eiken of Mexico and Maxine Thomas of Mokane, sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, also survive.
She was preceded in death by two granddaughters.
Mrs. Hays was retired from the Fulton State Hospital after nineteen years in the nursing service.
Funeral services will be held at the Maupin Funeral Home on Friday, March 21, at 2:00pm. Burial will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 until 8:00pm.
