MACON - Alton Everidge, 62, of 2705 Village Green Lane, died Saturday. Graveside services will be held at 11A.M. Monday in Macon Memorial Park. The
family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 5:00 until 7:00P.M. at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Ave.
Mr. Everidge was born in Macon and lived here all of his life. He was the son of the late Albert and Ruby Lee Everidge. He was the retired owner and operator of AEC Service Company. He was the founder of the Roadmasters Country Music Band and was recently inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame. Mr. Everidge was a Baptist and a Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Edwards Everidge of Macon; two daughters, Edith E. McCook of Alabama, and Norma Jean Flynn of Harrison, GA; two sons, Wayne Everidge of Lizella, GA and Ray Everidge of Macon; two step-sons, Cory Hammock and Scott Hammock; two brothers, Al Everidge of Macon and Rubin Everidge of Ithaca, NY; one sister, Ophelia Hebble of Macon; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will be at the residence, 2705 Village Green Lane, Macon, GA.
The family suggest that those who wish may make contributions to the American Heart Association, Bibb County Unit, P.O. Box 2065, Macon, GA 31203. Alton Everidge
