Reading Eagle, 8 Aug 1944, page 18:
George F. Angstadt, 69, a cabinetmaker, was found dead in his home at the rear 524 North Ninth St., yesterday afternoon by neighbors. It is believed that the man suffered a heart attack and died before he could summon help. Members of the family were not at home at the time. Dr. George J. Stark, Berks County coroner, issued a certificate of death due to natural causes.
Angstadt was a member of the Lutheran denomination and was a son of the late Isaac and Eliza (Reinert) Angstadt.
Surviving are his widow, Josephine (Wiest) Angstadt; three daughters: Florence, wife of Calvin Gaul, Reading, Jane, wife of Russell Rissmiller, Stonersville, and Hope, wife of Samuel Swavely, Douglassville; three sons: Grant, of Reading; George of St. Lawrence, and First Sergt. John, stationed with the engineers at Camp Shelby, Miss., three grandchildren, Alpheus, of Lancaster; Jonas, of Robesonia, and Paul, of Birdsboro, and three sisters: Emma, wife of Luther Wiest, Reading, Hannah, of Reading, and Mary, wife of Samuel Houck, Boyertown.
Services Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home. Burial at Union Cemetery, Boyertown.
