Junior was a farmer and worked at Caterpillar, Inc., retiring in 1994 after 25 years of service. He also drove truck for Ron Woods Trucking and Markey Trucking. He was a longtime member of Felton United Methodist Church.
Surviving besides his wife, Treva, are two sons, Michael L. Grove of Cosby, Tenn. and Daniel L. Grove and wife Pamela Ann of Dover; a stepdaughter, Donna M. Senft and husband Greg of York; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A Viewing will be on Friday, April 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Junior will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday. Robert F. Granzow III, Chaplain of White Rose Hospice, will officiate. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to White Rose Hospice, 1412 Sixth Ave., York, PA 17403. Junior and Treva were happily married on Dec. 16, 1978, celebrating 37 years together. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved to work with his John Deere tractors, fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He was a very strong-willed, hardworking man who always put his family first, and this included being a very devoted son, caring for his parents in every way possible. Treva and her family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to White Rose Hospice for their generosity and the wonderful care that they extended to Junior during the past four months of his illness. A special thank you to his special RN nurse John Dommer and also Sue Eaton and all the staff. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now; He set me free.
