Mrs. Mary Everett, 71, Succumbs at Parsons After Week's Illness
Mrs. Mary Everett, 71, for many years active in church circles died yesterday afternoon at 1:15 at her home at 206 Matson Avenue, Parsons, following an illness of one week.
Mrs. Everett was born in Miners Mills, a daughter of the late George and Sara Moore Adams, but had resided in Parsons most of her life.
For many years she was superintendent of the primary department of Parsons PM Sunday School. She was a member of that church and its Ladies Aid Society.
Surviving are her children: George, Emerson, Arthur, Philadelphia; Emerson, Post Office clerk, Wilkes-Barre; three grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters, John Adams, Wilkes-Barre Township; Harry, Shickshinny; George, Plains; Mrs. David Penhale, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Sam Hooper, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral rites will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 with further services at 2:30 in Parsons PM Church with the pastor, Rev. Thomas Jones, officiating. Interment will be in Hollenback Cemetery.
