       THE LATE GEORGE ADAMS.
    The funeral of George Adams, who died at his home at Miner's Mills on Saturday, will take place on Tuesday afternoon, with services at the house and interment in Hollenback Cemetery. Death was caused by miner's asthma.
    Deceased was born in County Durham, England, sixty-one years ago and came to this country in 1863. From that time until 1868 he resided in Farley Township, Schuylkill County, and in September of that year came to Plains Township, this county. His occupation was that of a miner and owing to his superior skill he was frequently requested by the superintendent to perform some of the most hazardous duties. He had charge of the driving of several tunnels and the sinking of shafts in this vicinity. He leaves a wife and the following children: Younger, of Coaldale, Schuylkill County; John T., of Parsons; Mrs. John Foote, Mrs Arthur Everett, Mrs. Thomas Hooper, Harry, Alice and George Jr., at Miner's Mills. He was a member of Sodi Lodge, I. O. O. F., of Plains, for more than thirty years.
