Robert Lawrence "Bob" Eppers died on March 20, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs, Missouri, from complications of pneumonia and COPD. He was born on September 15, 1928 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Raymond and Florence Eppers. He graduated from high school in Antioch, Illinois, and afterwards served as a medic in the Korean War, achieving the rank of sergeant. He worked as a grocery store manager for much of his life. He was a faithful member of Buckner Restoration, serving as an elder. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, five children, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service with full military honors: 11:00 a.m. on March 24, 2015 at New Salem Funeral Home and Cemetery in Independence, Missouri; visitation: 10:00 a.m.
