Leith John Eppers, 96 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at St. Catherine's Medical Center Campus, Pleasant Prairie, WI.

He was born August 4, 1917 in Brighton, WI the son of the late Ray and Florence (Schultz) Eppers. Leith proudly served as Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He owned and operated his own farm for most of his life. He enjoyed snowmobiling, even into his late 80's. On November 16, 1938 he married Leona E. Seger and she preceded him in death November 26, 1984.

Survivors include his children, Janet Martin of Canon City, CO, Diana Brooks of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Gary Eppers of Wadsworth, IL; brothers, Robert (Maryanne) and John (Joanne); and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Leith was preceded in death by three sisters, Carolyn (Lester) Chin, Audrey (Otto) Gussarson, and Elaine (Emil) Kubs; and four brothers, Francis (Jenny), Dick (Wanda) (Barb), Rayfield (Carol) and Lyle (Doris).

Funeral services with military honors will be held at 12NOON on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL. Entombment will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL. Visitation will be from 10AM until service time Tuesday.
