Lula was born near Iredell, Texas, to the late Andrew Jackson and Callie Etta Adkinson, and was raised and educated there. She was a homemaker and also worked for the Iredell I.S.D. as a substitute teacher for several years. On April 6, 1971, she married Billy Patrick. She was a member of the Iredell First Baptist Church and a former member of the Iredell V.F. W. Auxillary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Patrick, on February 15, 2003; brothers: Luther, James, Clifford Adkinson, and Buck Marrow; sisters: Mae Hinsley, Nettie Hoddnett, and Ruby Parson; and a grandson: Justin Day.
Survivors include her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. J18
