Aged Couple Die
Mrs. David Hunsberger, formerly Miss Hannah Bish, aged 72 years, died at her home at Kossuth, February 13, after two years of illness from cancer. Mrs, Hunsberger was a most patient sufferer and although ill for two years, was able to be about and attend to her home duties until a few weeks before her death. Funeral service in her memory were conducted at her home by Rev. Rehmeyer. Her husband, David Hunsberger, was taken to the home of his son, John, near Nickleville, after the funeral and died two weeks later, February 27. Death came suddenly and most unexpectedly. Mr. Hunsberger was aged 71 years. Funeral services in his memory were conducted from the St. Marks Lutheran Church near Kossuth on March 1. The two deceased were the parents of a quite large family, several of their children preceding them in death. They are survived by one daughter, Mrs. Linda Cochran of Clarion; three sons, George Hunsberger of Strattanville, John Hunsberger near Nickleville, and William Hunsberger of Karns City. One sister, Mrs. Ellen Goughler of Knox, and two brothers, Charles and Samuel Hunsberger, of Van, also survive. The deceased aged couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 4, 1922.

Death certificate gives age as 71 years, 2 months and 27 days. Buried March 2, 1923. Son, George L Hunsberger, was informant.

According to census records, they had six children, five of whom were alive in 1900. Daughter, Mary Jane Hunsberger Botts, died 24 February 1922.
