William Carlos "Bill" Harmon age 85 of Woodlawn, Va. passed Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Golden Living Center. Mr. Harmon was born in Carroll County, Va. on August 27, 1922 to William Early & Gracie Shockley Harmon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Eva Virginia Harmon. He is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Willadean & Rodger Jennings of Woodlawn, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Jerry & Lois Harmon of Oviedo, Florida; Jim & Mary Harmon of Galax, Va.; sister Elsie Hatch of Adamsville, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Monta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
