Susanna Kuhns was the wife of Philip Presler (Bressler).

Mother of thirteen children.

══════════════════════════════════════════════════

"Philip Pressler … came to Ohio from Pennsylvania in 1822, and erected a log cabin in the woods, and, by untiring energy and the assistance of his good wife, the old forest trees gave way, and in their stead it was not long until he had the pleasure of seeing waving fields of grain. Mrs. Isaman [Margaret Pressler, daughter of Philip Pressler] relates … that her good mother [Susanna Kuhns, wife of Philip Pressler], in order to assist her husband in clearing a spot to raise some garden stuff, would bend some saplings and tie a sheet to them, and place her babe in this as a cradle."

— Excerpt from History of Ashland County, Ohio: with illustrations and biographical sketches, by George William Hill, 1880, page 309.

Her maiden surname was spelled variously as Kuhns, Kunes, Kunz, Kuntz and Koons.
