Newspaper obituary from South Bend Tribune (South Bend, Indiana), April 1, 1955. The five grandchildren were Mary Frances, Thomas Irvin, Alice Marie, Fern Marie, and Laura Lea. Another five grandchildren were born after Bernice died in April 1955.
