December 19, 2020. Wreaths Across America. Wreath was laid by a U.S. Marine who once worked with Miles at Ball Band, while another U.S. Marine played "Taps."

This marker was at the foot of Miles' grave from Oct. 2006 until Aug. 2007. The military marker was provided by the VA. The marker was ordered removed by the person who had used Miles’ money to purchase the grave for his interment.

A month after Miles died, there was a small, private memorial service at Miles' grave site. The shadow in the photo is from Miles' daughter. The roses and angels in the white planter were from his sister-in-law.
