She had been in failing health for the past four years and was confined to her bed only two weeks. She was raised and attended school in Spruce Hill. At the age of 15 years she started domestic work in Alexandria and continued her work for many years in different towns. Three years ago she retired and entered the Bethany Home. She was a generous faithful worker and always ready to lend a helping hand to her fellowman and the needy.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother and three sisters. Hanna is survived by one brother and five sisters, namely: Edward of Alexandria; Ellen (Mrs. Louis Peterson) of Fergus Falls; Alma (Mrs. Charlie Anderson) of Spruce Hill; Gustie (Mrs. C. A. Wheeler) of Chicago; Mathilda (Mrs. Chas. Shogren) of Turlock, Calif.; Emma (Mrs. M. Peltier) of Seattle, Wash.
Funeral services were held at the Bethany Home on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock; Dr. O. O. Gustafson officiating. Pallbearers were Elon Hanson, Howard Stevens, Ted Larson, Oscar Englund, Hillary Tileskjor and Mose Collins. Interment took place in the Kinkead cemetery.
