Fedelina "Fay" Encinias García, age 99, entered the gates of heaven to meet her Lord on March 31, 2015 leaving behind a strong legacy of faith and family.
Fay was born on October 20, 1915 in Wagon Mound, NM.
Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Amalia Encinias, six sisters, three brothers and two children, David García and Juanita Sasser.
Fay received her high school diploma from Wagon Mound High School and received a teaching certificate from Highlands University. Fay was a committed and professional worker having served with New Mexico state government as well as completing 33 years of dedicated civil service with the United States Navy, United States Army and United States Air Force.
Fay is survived by her brother, Tony Encinias of Denver, CO, sons, Larkin (Renee) and David and daughters, Louise (Roy) and Frances. Also, she leaves behind nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Fay was passionate about her faith and was a long time member of Berean Baptist Church. Fay loved serving others and up to her last days wanted to demonstrate her notable hospitality by still wanting to prepare meals for her fellow residents at the Alzheimer's residential facility! One of her family and friends' fond memories will be that of savoring her famous jams and jellies and pastries. Her hobbies included sewing, baking, gardening and especially loved her beautiful peonies and day lilies. Throughout her life she enjoyed music, having played the violin and the organ.
Her family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful, compassionate, and professional staff of the inpatient Hospice unit at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospital. Also a special thanks to Noah, Erica, Loren, Diedre and Hiba of the North Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center. Especially, thank you, Lori, for the tender care provided.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
