Retired merchant; and member of the Lockhart United Methodist Church.
Also survived by sons, James Edward "Jimmy" Allen (1941–2013) and Robert Timothy "Tim" Allen (1947-2004); sisters, Victoria "Vickie" Allen Gunning (1913-2004), Athalee Allen Benfield (1911-1996), Martha James Allen Kitzak (1914-2003); brother, Raymond Cecil Allen (1923–2009); and two grandchildren.
Predeceased also by sisters, Sadie Allen Varnadore (1908-1965) and Doris Inez Allen Hines (1916–1943).
Services were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 12, 1982, at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Chick Gary; burial in Union Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home, Union, SC.
