Funeral services will be noon on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor Clifford Beck officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was born October 29, 1929 in Brandenburg, Kentucky and was the daughter of John and Nellie Dink (Benham) Springgate. She worked at Castle Nursing Homes as an STNA for 35 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church of New Philadelphia, Ohio and a member of the Millersburg Eagles, where she was District Leader from 1987 to 1988. Joyce enjoyed reading, crocheting and being with her kids.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Nell Russell, Pamela Kyle (Philip), Rhonda E. Butler (Ron Stahl), and son, Victor L. Gotham (June). She is also survived by five grandchildren, Miles, Kerry, Shawnna, Kelly and William "Billy"; six great-grandchildren; 5 cousins; and her best friend, Betty Lou Masters of Killbuck.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, George Edwin Dinkler; grandson, Jemes Clifford Butler; and her husband, Paul Mowrer.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691.
