Funeral services for Anna Voyen were held April 30, 1962 from the First Lutheran church in Alexandria. Rev. Philip Westby officiated. Casket bearers were Walter Allguire, Clifford Hollingsworth, Clifford Johnson, Walter Johnson, Louis Sandbakken and Ervin Sieling. Interment was in the Kinkead cemetery.
Anna Voten was born at Abercrombie, North Dakota July 15, 1878 the daughter of Sebastian and Anna Marty. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the First Lutheran church of Alexandria.
When she was a young girl she moved to Alexandria with her parents where she attended public school. She also attended the Red Wing Seminary at Red Wing.
Mrs. Voyen passed away April 26, at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 11 days. Surviving are 3 daughters (Hazel) Mrs. Robert Pease of Elbow Lake, (Marguerite) Mrs. Oscar Volden of Alexandria; (Gloria) Mrs. Harry Urbach of St. Paul and a granddaughter Marge Volden of Alexandria. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 1, 1946.
