SPALDING -- Patrick H. Bernt, 75, of Spalding died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at his home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding with the Rev. Joe Hannappel officiating. Burial is at the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be 3:30-9 p.m. with rosaries at 4:30 and 8 p.m. on Friday at Dolce Scheef Mortuary in Spalding.
Mr. Bernt was born Dec. 13, 1925, in Spalding to John C. and Margaret V. (Kaiser) Bernt. He attended District 14 and graduated from Spalding Public School in 1944. He worked in the Red River Valley and farmed with his father on the Cedar River.
He married Esther Fisher on Oct. 2, 1950 in Greeley. They farmed on the Cedar River.
His hobbies included hunting.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Patti Duda of Greeley; four sons, Mike (Sandra) Bernt of Columbus, Jim (Karen) Bernt of Spalding, Robert (Kristine) Bernt of Ericson and Scott Bernt and fiance, Lori, of St. Paul; one sister, Agnes Hust of Spalding; two brothers, Leonard Bernt of Primrose and Ray Bernt of Warrenburg, Mo; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dan Bernt; three sisters, Loretta Sharp, Bertha Funk and Anna Bernt; and three brothers, Edwin Bernt, John Bernt and Mike Bernt.
