Carl J. Gilsdorf, 57, of Monroe, passed away at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.

A memorial service was held at Rupp Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Blake, pastor of Monroe Alliance Church, officiated. In accordance with Carl's wishes cremation took place. Carl was born August 7, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio. He was the son of Albert L. and Patricia (Waltz) Gilsdorf. He married Deborah M. Kresuk April 6, 1990. He worked for APCOA Parking at Detroit Metro Airport; before a medical retirement in 2005. Carl enjoyed camping, fishing, flying remote controlled airplanes and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Deborah Gilsdorf of Monroe; a son, two daughters, two brothers, four sisters, and three grandchildren, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Carl is a cousin, and a descendant of Waltz/Rodey line.
