MRS. B. H. BRANTLEY
Mrs. B. H. Brantley of the Girard section of Phenix City, died at 7:30 o'clock yesterday at the City Hospital, where she had been for the past several days. Mrs. Brantley was born in Tallapoosa county, Ala., Dec. 8, 1857, and was married to Mr. Brantley in Girard Sept. , 1889. A few months later they moved to Birmingham and had until about six months ago when they returned to Girard, resided in Birmingham and Panama City, Fla. Mrs. Brantley was a member of the Girard Baptist church and made many friends by her cheerful and charitable disposition. Mr. and Mrs. Brantley had no children of their own but reared Mrs. W. R. Work, a niece of Mrs. Brantleys, who resides in Clearwater, Florida, and who was with her at the time of her death. Besides her husband, surviving her is a sister, Mrs. Josephine Leslie, of Girard. The body was taken to the home, 331 Long Street, and at three o'clock this afternoon the funeral will take place at the Girard Baptist church. Rev. O. F. Barnes, the pastor will conduct the service and interment will be at Girard cemetery. The following gentlemen have been requested to act as the pallbearers: H. L. Poyner, Chas. T. Clayton, W. B. Hand, J. K. Siddall, Harries C. Edwards and Roy C. Smith. per: Lois Goodin Hottinger
