Born in Westminster on June 9, 1917, mr morehead was a retired self employed Concrete Mason, U.S. Army Veteran of WWII First Armored Divison, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are: one son, Michael H. Morehead of Townville, four daughters, Edith Hix of Lawrenceville Ga, Susan Matheson of Chester VA., Debbie Morehead of Westminster and Laurie Rollberg of Boone NC., one sister Verline Morehead of Westminster and six grandchildren.
Mr. Morehead was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Broome Morehead, his parents, Hinton Cobb and Vesta Lillie Martin Morehead, sisters, Louise Dickerson, Frances Craig, and brother Ben Morehead.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Monday, Nov. 11, from the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home with Revs. Melvin Timms and Bob Spearman officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
